Professionally antisocial
I'm beginning to really get excited about playing the Saint-Saens Sonata (enough that it's spilling into my real blog, even!) If any of you want to hear me play it before January (My big recital is going to be around the middle of January) you should come to the Vancouver Academy of Music Scholarship recital on November 1st at 730pm (it's at the academy, which is down by the Burrard street bridge.)
My bananas are not ripening. This is kind of freaking me out as it's been over a week and they are still green. Weirdness.
My grandpa is in the hospital, and is fine, now, but I'm going to go visit him tomorrow...I never know what to say to people when I visit them at the hospital, so I figure I'll bring my oboe and offer to play him the Saint-Saens. HAha. I'd bring him flowers but...I don't want to buy flowers and well...there's not much blooming in my garden.
In other news, I am becoming infatuated with Enescu. Clearly the end is nigh.
