Lovely Day
I've had a really lovely day today, apart from coming down with a cold.
Did crafty stuff this morning with Alex at the cafe in LAdywell, and Guy's Mum, Sara came along and joined us. It was really nice to chat with her and get to know her a little better. Hopefully she'll pop along next week too - she makes appliqueed tshirts and she was going to bring some along to show us and to sew while we sit and drink tea. Huzzah!
Tthen Alex and I and the girls went out to Ikea at Croydon and bought a metric arseload of fabric. We got some great stuff, lots of awesome jungley animal prints and cars and bright happy things. Plus tonnes of fleece and some terry towelling handtowels. We're going to test them first but we reckon they could be a good source of backing for the bibs. Terry towelling is extremely absorbent and I reckon it will be as snug as the flannel.
Came home and discovered we'd sold some more earrings and had loads of hits on our website. All round I am feeling excited and happy about the crafty stuff.
The kids are great too. Orlaith's been a little whingey of late but she was really good today. A couple of silly moments - she kicked me in the knee a couple of times and ran off through the shop once or twice - but on the whole she was really good.
Esme has popped through a few extra teeth, she now has three of her pre-molars and one of her canines. She's been a bit grizzly today with a light cold.
Now I'm off to feel snuffly myself and watch True Blood with Jake.
