Stupid AOL. Whenever I tried to edit my text on the email via arrow keys, it'd kept going to the next email.

1. (For the third time typing this) A mix of parental pressure, elitism (the snobby kind), and at the time, I kept hearing these "stories" about Prospect (I'm NOT bashing!!).

2. Me. Hehe. Actually I haven't really looked at any actual writings yet; I wanted to see how far I could get by myself, and judging by "Sophie's World" (a book on the history of philosophy) I got pretty far. I'd have to say I like Kierkegaard. I like his views on love and Christianity (he demands that people "make decisions, evaluate beliefs, and decide what is true for themselves, rather than absolving themselves from any responsibility to do so. (Sophie's World: Journal & Book of Days)" I do disagree with some of his positions, however. He's an existentialist, one of the first, and so he disregards Truth with the capital "T," and instead advocates personal truths. While I think personal truths are important as well, I sense that there is the Truth that needs to be found. But then again, all of my knowledge of him is from summarizations and not directly by reading his work itself, so...yeah.

3. I'm going to assume that the all-boysness is pretty obvious. Well, there are a couple things. The first is the elitism present. It just drives me nuts to see others believe themselves as higher than others, and I'm sensitive in that I can see it implicitly in many of their actions. Of course, this is linked with arrogance and the whole pride-thing. The second is that most of these students come from well-set families, and that could result in some character problems in the students here and there. A number (I have no idea which) act like spoiled children, like those who mistreat the struggling business around campus. A second flaw of a greater number of different students is that they are conservatives, which is fine in by itself, but a few of them are the ignorant kind. Anything liberal or anti-government policy is "anti-American" to them, and they can't even properly argue their own side. My guess is that they hear their parents rant on, and so assume the positions themselves, without really understanding the reasoning behind the arguments. Or they're just plastic patriots who are puppets of the current administration machine. Man, these answers just keep getting longer. :)

4. The all-boysness. :) I guess all roads lead back to THAT. Um...I'd have to say my sleeping schedule. Either I don't get enough sleep (school year) or I get too much at the wrong hours (summer). Yuck. Well, at least here's a short answer. =oD

5. I don't even get what you're asking here. I mean, I used to play piano on a regular basis, and I've always been somewhat miserable from the elementary school years when I had no friends to this day when my "sweetheart" ignores me for the most part. Speaking of which... *wanders off to play some piano...in a couple minutes.*

Whelp, that was fun. How bout some questions from my side? Like...
1. Explain in 500 words or less (if even possible) why you think AYS is awesome.
2. Seriously, what's your most admirable aspect?
3. Favorite caffeinated drink and why.
4. Will you marry me? Puh-leeeze?
5. On a scale from 1 - 10, rank those two jokes above. I seriously hope I haven't lost my ability to make people really laugh.
6. Can't think of another, creative juices running low. Make one up and answer it. :)
