Doing my best to be Zen about this....
Made an appointment with an insurance specialist for next week. A presentation at Job Club said that you have 63 days between insurance carriers before they assume you have a new illness and disallow previous conditions. I'm not sick, so we're going to see if he can find me something for accident protection.
Cancelled my health insurance of 11 years. $754/month was breaking me. I need to decide if I am quitting the NBA, too. I was a member only for insurance, and it's $15/month.
I just answered my own question. Off to find NBA card.
EDIT: Wasn't fast enough. NBA had already drafted the $15 for March. They are a nonprofit, and require 30 days for cancellation. So I donated to them this month.
Does this mean I could have taken them as a tax deduction all this time? Sheesh.
