I think MOST of my bad attitude for the day has burned off, but the cynical and sarcastic part hasn't. HA! Just proof that I REALLY needed that devotional time and Bible reading this morning to at least have some good food for the brain to chew on. It really hasn't been a bad day either.

I'm even looking forward to weight watchers because I know I've lost weight since last week. I might finally hit the 40lb mark with them. Not too shabby if I do - it only took two weeks beyond one year to do it with a 3 month stint without doing WW meetings last fall. One of the ladies that started with me here at work last year finally got her 30lb star last night, so that is awesome for her. I know she has struggled a lot, but hasn't given up.

Anyway, yesterday I stated I would be back to talk more about the new church. Now to remember what I had on my mind. HA! It's one of those weeks and I'm glad I have Friday off for a three-day weekend.

There was a special guest for the weekend - Dr Johnson the Confidence Coach. He had quite the testimony of how he got to where he is today and how God has worked in his life. We decided to get his confidence makeover package - which he sells at discount when at churches. I've already done the first two days in it and find it quite enlightening. What I did last night explained some of yesterday's attitude, let alone correlates to this mornings TUDE of destruction. ;) Yeah, I was not feeling confident, hated a meeting we went through yesterday that seemed to slam several of us, and I swore I had the ability to spit enough nails to do the entire framing for a two story house. I hate feeling like that because it doesn't help and really makes things worse. So we'll see what day 3 brings of this 30 day study.

The other great thing is meeting more people we know or knew of through family and what not. Got another loaf of free bread from that very nice lady who always brings several of the mini loaves to church to give to new people as one of her welcoming ministries. Everyone is friendly and helpful, even the ones that have a more aloof personality until they know you better. They even run college level courses for Bible study that work towards various certificates and degrees from a Bible college and at an affordable price. As I get to know the place better I'm sure I'll figure out where to serve and I would like to do something that is out in the community, too. Not sure how that will work due to having a job, but we'll see. This church has a lot of things that it does and it even runs a special food bank that the needy can apply to and then "shop" at. They also run a small school, have a radio program, do several outreaches to eldery and shut-ins, etc. I can see why all ages enjoy this church because there really is something for everyone if you take the time to sort through it all. =) So I think I'll be fed well on the Word, be able to grow, and have an outlet of service.

I think this move has even made me feel like writing again, even if the restart has been rather slow and painful. Need to work out doing some regular writing time and I know I have the time. I just won't be playing computer games as much. ;)
