So, I'm home for the week from school, which means I have free time, which means I post to LJ. I am realizing that there is a small, but important group of people who read my LJ who don't read
ironpoet's. I direct you folks to the
iron_wedding community he set up, which in addition to being entertaining and informative includes a link to our lovely wedding website! (ooh, ahh!)
Anyway, in addition to futzing around on the internet and luxuriating in not being at school, I have spent the day folding paper cranes in front of the boob tube. The plan is to use the cranes as place cards for the wedding reception, and to hopefully fold a full thousand for good luck. It seemed daunting, but I managed 30 cranes just today (putting me at 33 total). At this rate, I could conceivably fold 4503 cranes before the wedding...and that's without counting all the people who have volunteered to help.
For those with no interest in weddings, my birthday was yesterday (big thanks to all the folks who sent well-wishes!) and I got a truly exciting
gift. Check it out all you crafty types!
