Doorknobs suck.
My Greymatter journal is broken for now so I guess I'll make updates on LJ for now. So, it's been quite a week... actually it's was quite a wednesday. Wednesday was a very interesting day, I woke up and immediately headed for my door(I was quite hungry). I try to open my door to no avail, apparently sometime during my sleep my doorknob had broken somehow. After 5 minutes of battling with my door I finally pried it open with a knife, but being the stupid person I am closed the door behind me. So I eat my daily bowl of Golden Grahams and return to my room only to realize that I am now locked out. Now, usually I wouldn't have a problem with this but it just so happens that it's my mom's birthday and my card and gift are in my closet O_O. So me and my genius brothers decide we'll just take off the doorknob and break back into my room, we take out the screws and see that the plastic molding on the inside of my doorknob has cracked and there is pretty much no way we can get back in without taking the whole door off or ripping out the whole doorknob mechanism. I wait until my dad gets home and he tries to get the door open and fails, so he takes the claw side of a hammer and rips out the rest of parts of the doorknob and gets my door open right as my mom gets home. Birthday disaster averted. We celebrated for the rest of the night, eating cake and pie and so forth. Yesterday was fairly normal until the sprinklers in my backyard decided to break and went off for no reason my dad ended up having to shut off the water valve in the backyard. Today has gone normally so far, I'm supposed to go to the park and play some b-ball with Adan later today but I haven't heard from him so I don't know if we're still going. Besides not having a doorknob anymore summer has gone pretty well, hopefully it will get better as it goes on.
