Wait, am I really uploading a house again? Really? Yes, I am! After all this time!
As I said on tumblr, it's a kind of "thank you gift", since I just realized I have 165 followers on tumblr and 288 friends on LJ. Crazy! Well, if you thought I would bake a huge heart-shaped cake for every single one of you and ship them around the world... you're wrong! Sorry about that, still working on it. I made you a house instead. It's my second attempt at an
ranch house. I'm obsessed with popular house styles and I found this one while I was looking for inspiration for
my 50s project. Now, many of you probably live in an actual ranch and will be like "hey, wait, how about no". I know, it's not 100% accurate and it never will, but being "historically correct" is not my point. I just like to recreate some styles, adapting them to the game and to the way I play. So, uh, thank you gift. Nothing special, really.
"Special" features your sims will be able to enjoy: 2 bedrooms (for at least 2 sims each - and if you run out of space, use your imagination); a bathroom (yes, a real one, and there's even room for a washer); a (kind of) big kitchen with dining area; a living room with amazing view on an empty garden; a shed for your cowplant; a driveway; a garden (perfectly green grass included); outdoor lights (no more looking for your keys in the darkness); some ventilation system that will save your sims' social life (imagine you just pooped and you can't open the window because it's storming really hardcore outside); heating thingys in every room; and a barbecue!
Honestly, I don't remeber why I took this picture. Anyways, it IS trying to tell you something, I just don't know what.
Now, on to the boring things. I have all EPs + Mansion & Garden installed, so they are required for this lot to work properly, because... that's how lots work. Also, the front door comes from the Teen Style stuff pack. You might want to give it a try with the Clean Installer though, but keep in mind that your game might be invaded by zombies and four-headed pancakes if you do so.
It's a 2x2 lot, and, as you saw, it's (very) partially furnished. What you don't get: kitchen, table, chairs, sofa, bed, shower, sink, lights, burglar alarm. What you get: a barbecue. And a telephone. Oh, and a toilet. The house obviously costs less than 20k, I just don't remember how much exactly, sorry. There is no custom content included. I guess that's all. :)
