I remember, decades ago, Games Magazine did a feature on Sondheim and his game collection. There was a bit about the murder parties he would host. Some celeb, I forget who, was in the bathroom, hunting under the sink for a clue envelope when he looked up and Anthony Perkins, who had drawn the murderer card, mildly said "I'm afraid I have to kill you."
This is an incredibly fun movie that seems to start off simply but continues to accumalate surprising twists and turns right through to the very end. Highly recommended.
I have always heard good things about this movie! I'm delighted to have them borne out by people I know. It is never guaranteed that art that people make with their partners will actually be good, so I think I am especially pleased when it is.

They were at the time of The Last of Sheila. That's actually how I first heard of it.
