I spent last night with my friend Lorie and a bunch of her friends. We had planned to go to Dave and Busters all week; but that kind of didn't work out. The place was so packed you could barely move, let alone actually get on any of the games. I put $10 on my game card, but only ended up spending like $1 of it before we left. It was just too damn crazy there. We tried getting a table to grab something to eat; but upon hearing it would be a 2 hour wait, we just left.
Somehow we ended up picking up another guy, jamming 5 people in this dude Abe's car, and heading down to Cherry Hill in Jersey to go bowling. I think I got 40 points; which apparently means that I suck ass. Even Lorie with her girly bowling technique got like double the points of me. Oh well; hehe!
Still it was pretty cool though. I'm not used to actually getting out with a group of people. (And such a deverse group; Lorie is half Korean, plus an Asian, a black girl, and a native Korean; which is also weird for me since I grew up in a predominantly white suburb. Very cool though.) It's always been like me and one friend; or on a rare occasion 2 friends. I just don't really function well in a group environment; what with my shy dorklerness. I usually just end up being the one that listens to everyone else talk and doesn't chime in. Lorie goes out of her way to make me welcome in the group. I don't know.... I always develop major crushes on my female friends that won't be anything more than that; so I'll stop that thought process right there for now :-P.
