the piece on distance is taking it's time. i'm heading down to portsmouth tomorrow so hopefully crack it on the way down. if not, definitely on the way back.
just to tease, i've got a rough paragraph......
julie was a long way from home. now me, i tend to make my home wherever i am so i'm never too far from it but this won't always be the case for most of you. julie, for example, had family back in the northwest and, i'm told, family is fairly important in the making of a home. she'd stopped going to church since moving to springfield because she felt that her place of worship was back home in grays harbour. she justified this with an idea that everyone has an individual god and her's happened to live at aberdeen first united methodist church. she'd also left a lover behind. it was a classic story of i'll get set up and send for you, well she hadn't been able to set herself up so much as a drink so she was alone. she was in the gents, recalling the outcome of her first date with her love as it ended in the gents. she explained that, at times where she found herself lost, she went to the nearest gents bathroom and recanted the date into a mirror to find herself. she did this, under the guidance that her love did the same thing in times of crisis because she read it in one of the many letters they'd exchanged back and forth.
now this is a very rough version so do throw words and suggestions at me..
