Man so I have really been enjoying this Five Things meme that's been going around over the past few days. Reading other people's meta is awesome. I am sort of sad though because although I love discussing this shit this is the kind of meme I will never participate in ever. Mainly because I am a very reactive analyser? I do have opinions on all sorts, but I have no way of articulating them until you present me with a thesis. This exacerbates the sadness because I know I present as very negative due to almost all my reactions being 'no, but...'. Which is frustrating, both because once a topic gets going I can start to bring up my own ideas, and because honestly? I actually really really love arguing about shit. If I tell you you're wrong I want you to hit me in the face with why I'm wrong. With facts. And then of course to return the favour. And so forth. It's just that I can get excitable and people take it personally AND THAT'S HOW WARS START ALEX.
So yes. No meme times for me. I can explain quite clearly why Five is not uke and Eight is completely competent (does anyone actually not believe those any more? I am trying to bring up dead tropes, but you never know) but thinking up a point that isn't a tangent of someone else's? Really really hard.
But because I want to give something to the world have some old art that I think most people have seen and that one day* I will ink and colour. No. Really. Actually I think I actually drew this - dear god I hope it wasn't two years ago. Lets just say it was very very very early last year, and for all its inaccuracies it is still probably my favourite Seven I have drawn to date. So. Fun times yo. Clicky clicky?
