I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I was able to spend it with my dear friends the Gerlick family. We got some inspiration, so we shot a film for St James that evening.
On Friday I had plans to shop with Chris, Jo and Duncan. Jo overslept and had a project that he needed to finish, so he was unable to go with us. Major purchases - I bought a laptop for Eric's daughter Karma, and I bought a new video camera for the Fellowship.
Then that afternoon, after some communication mishaps we were able to shoot a St James project with guess star Anthony Cox. He is a marvelous addition to our roster of performers, very focused, with good comic instincts and a wonderful ability to be silly. He has just the kind of talent that we need.
Then we had a really great rehearsal for the play. We had the musicians with us and we were able to really start to pull things together. There are moments of absolute brilliance in the play and we keep developing more and more of them. This is going to be an awesome show!
I especially love the way all of my performers think about little additions to make the show even better. That drive towards greater and greater excellence is beautiful to see and support.
Now I am off to another session of play practice.
