This past weekend is one that I will never forget. I had such an amazing time at Novice, on my birthday, and staying with Alex. I seriously could not of asked for a better 18th birthday.
At midnight on Thursday night, or early Friday morning, mom Landry took me and Kriten to a random gas station near our hotel so that I could buy a lottery ticket. The attendent said that she could not sell them past 11. I enthusiasticly reply with, "Damn!! You got any porn?" After we explained the situation to her, she agreed to sell me a scratch off. AND I won another free scratch off.
The tournament was great that day, and I got to see so many people that I love and adore. Then, the party started and I went to Alex's. We went to a U-School party, which was totally nuts and crazy different from any party that I've ever been to in Niceville. We stayed for a few hours and I met so many delightful people who were super friendly and talkative. After that, we went back to his house and proceeded to talk (and drink) until roughly four AM when I decided that I should go to bed because I had to be up at 6:30. I told Mom Betsy to wake me up at that time so I would have an adequate amount to time to get ready. Apparantly she tried to wake me at 6:30, 6:40, AND 6:50, but everytime she tried, I raised me hand up and shook my finger at her as if I was repremanding her. I finally got up at 7 and apologized refusely, but she told me she didn't care because it was really funny!!!!
So, I went to the tournament hung over, and potentially still a little tipsy-- but I still had an absolutly amazing time and I could not be more proud of my novices. After the tournament I cried for like 28076783 hours because I was sad about graduating and because I feel that Novice is like symbolicly passing the torch along to your novices.
Then, I got home Sunday to find that my AMAZING step-father had bought me a lap-top for my birthday. I thought he was kidding. I didn't see it coming at all. He was going to give it to me after he came back from a business trip in Israel, but I caught him by accident twenty minuites before he left. He asked me if I wanted my present, and of course I said yes-- then he pointed to the table and there it was. He even had it charging for me. I bursted into tears. Tears of shock and joy. Then some people came over randomly and we ordered pizza.
Tonight, I went to Nida's with Lauren, Kayla, Nia, Michelle, Maegan and Steve. Nia and Maegan got me kickin' Vera Bradly wallet and Kayla and Lauren got me a matching purse. I can't wait to wear it in Boston this weekend.
Wow!!! What a long entry!!!!!
In the mean time, I'm going to BU open house this weekend and i am SOOOO nervous. I'm potentially spending the next four years there. I have been going back and forth about the debt that I will accumulate going there, and I have to make a decision on my choice of college on monday. That's only 6 days away... WOWOW!!! How nerve-racking. I'm 90% sure it's BU, but maybe I'll change my mind-- I'm really indecisive like that!!!
