Time for Audible Magic!

Well, it has been a while since my last update.  I don't have a long time to write this either.  Things need to be read and written for tomorrow's classes.  I managed to get an interview with a network administrator at FSU about the current solution to online gaming.  The interview itself was about 26 minutes long.  I got a lot of great quotes and information from him to help write my article.  It will be fun to actually get to write a news article this week.  Don't get me wrong, writing a column about video games is awesome, but sometimes I just crave for more "credible" journalistic assignments.  I've taken a few courses in how to write objective news stories so it shouldn't be too difficult.  I just want to make this a really great story, mechanically and content-wise since it will probably be one of the few I write for The Bottom Line.

I'm still running five times a week after classes.  I have the total miles calculated at 16 miles a week.  Not bad, but I wish I had started a lot earlier than late August!  It is starting to get colder and I have a feeling my determination with dwindle as the temperature drops.

I have the ACP Conference in St. Louis coming up soon.  It should be a lot of fun and, hopefully, really informative.  I'm not really sure if they have anything geared toward webmasters and columnists.  I'm sure I'll find something I can use in the end.

Nicole got back from her conference in Myrtle Beach.  Her presentation went well and the trip wasn't too crazy.  Though, on the way down, her van had a flat tire that eventually burst.  Go figure, a van filled with professors with PhDs couldn't change a flat.  Whenever she was telling the story to my dad, he made the comment:  "Never confuse education with intelligence.  The two rarely correlate."  Then he used the guy who built our house's decks as an example.  You can always count on dad to lay it out there for you.

The Bills lost to the Bears big time!  It was a total blow out!  Despite their defeat, and their losing record of 2-3, I remain a loyal fan.  You have to love a team from a relatively small town, that everyone forgets about.  They are overdue for a kick ass season!  Mark my words.

I have a ten page paper to write for Telecommunications Law this weekend!  Then I have a smaller paper for World Drama to write the following weekend (the weekend before my trip to the ACP Conference in St. Louis).  The next two weeks are going to be hell.  On the bright side, there are a bunch of really great games coming out soon.

-  Dark Messiah
-  Battlefield 2142
-  Neverwinter Nights 2
-  Bioshock
-  Crysis
-  Dawn of War:  Dark Crusade

I'd really like to get my hands on all of these titles eventually.  The release dates of each are spaced out pretty evenly through the months of October and November.  I may have to wait until Christmas for some.  Oh well.
