Six or seven years ago I used to obsess over politics. I've largely stopped now, since the whole situation is just too depressing to bother. Still, I've sort of followed the whole James O'Keefe and pals mess- a Republican Woodward and Bernstein wannabe, accused of attempting to tap the phones of a US Senator. If you had any doubts about what a pathetic individual O'Keefe is,
this article should dispel them.
I've never liked John Terry, and feel strongly in saying that my life would have been perfectly fine without hearing about his most recent scandal. I realize this is different from average 'Footballer Cheats on Wife' gossip because it has directly affected the England team, but I'm going to be cynical and predict that nothing will change and that Terry will keep the captaincy and his wife (I'd love to be wrong). What really bothers me as a female at the moment is that now the tabloids are going on about
how many footballers Terry's lover has slept with- as if since she's a slut, Terry sleeping with her shouldn't 'count'. Sorry, but no, that doesn't change anything, you still cheated on your wife with the partner of one of your best friends, and it doesn't matter if everyone else has already slept with her first.
On slightly more cheerful news (for me at least), I'm about to finish Part I of Don Quixote, and do have to say that I've really enjoyed it.
