I sit here listening to the sound of hot air blowing through already overheating dorm rooms, and I can't help but wonder why I decided to go to school in Michigan when so many other great options, such as anything south of here, would have allowed me to avoid this.  I would miss snow though.

Yesterday I took the time to read through a shit ton of other postings on the ol' "Livejournal," and I fell compelled to remark on the whiny nature of so many of those entries.  I guess I was a typical high school whiner, which saddens me a bit.  Oh well, what can you do, right?  I actually got goosebumps and felt uncomfortable reading some of that crap.  But some of it was really funny too.

I can't write funny stuff anymore.  I think I lost that part of me when I started getting Cs and Ds on papers.  Maybe I shouldn't have stopped though (proof: my 2 best paper grades from last year came on assignments in which I made fun of the professor).  I hope my wit(s?) return at some point in my life, for they were a large part of where I came from.

I went to a frat party this weekend, the ATO Beach Party, to be exact.  It was effing crazy.  Hot as balls in the little building, sand (or kitty litter?  the smell would lead me to believe the latter, rather than the former (latter litter...jaja (jaja is how Spanish people laugh))).  Everybody at the party was drunk, and I got headbutted pretty hard by my suite mate, who happens to be a 295 lineman on our football team here (big dude.  sweet (suite?) guy, too).

In other news, I got a carepackage from my church today in honor of Valentine's day.  As it turns out, the church only sends out carepackages on Holloween (a very anti-Christian holiday) and Valentine's Day (whose initials, VD, indicate something the church may also stand against...).  It had more candy in it than I'll ever know what to do with, so I pulled out another holiday and Santa Claused that shit up.  People seemed to enjoy it.  I just had to say that the big Snickers bar was mine.

Currently, there are five (5) cross country recruits on our campus.  One of them happens to be the coach's son, which in my opinion would be a somewhat awkward situation.  Awkward is weird to spell.  Yesterday I noticed that I used to struggle greatly with the spelling of the word "genius," which most certainly does not have an O in it at any point.  What was I thinking?

A friend of mine once asked me if I wanted a frozen banana.  I told her I did not, but I did want a regular banana later, so I took the frozen one anyway.
