In a fit of curiosity, I dug out some old videos from high school.
It is amazing how completely un-nostalgic I am for that time. I'm having a hard time thinking of awesome or awful times from then. I can remember specific events, but I have no feelings connected to them whatsoever. Even people and events that made my life miserable, I see them and have no reaction at all.

I like my life right now. Whoever said high school is the best years of your life either peaked at that point or clearly has no memory of high school. I never understood that. Why would you want high school to be the best years of your life? If you're lucky, you have 60 years after that. Wouldn't you want shit to keep getting more awesome? If your best years are in your past, it's your job to do something about that and make your coming years magnificent.
Now I have to go re-bury those tapes. Because while I have no emotional ties, I still don't want them ever seeing the light of day.
