Tech: Java: Portals / Portlets
Do any of my friends know about Java based portals? I used to know about Apache Jetspeed back when it was version 1 and there was no official standard for Java Portlets.
I'm a big fan of the Drupal PHP CMS and realise that what I like about it is that it behaves a lot like a portal - letting you design your site with blocks which are filled in by different pieces of code. I'm somewhat surprised this isn't more common in the Java world.
Now here are the open source java portals I can find... And I see that there is a Spring Portlet stuff in Spring MVC but it is not clear... It seems like I "just" need to separate out the actions from the views to create a portlet.... :-)
Anyone here aware of this technology?
