Where have all the Startups Gone?
Cut to the Chase: I'm looking for a start up in London that I can be a part of. I've been contracting in big companies for far too long. Yeah, big companies are great for some things but they are bad for others.
In my case big companies suck the enthusuasm out of me for adventurous IT.
Over the years people have always told me what they thought "the next big thing" would be. I remember people telling me about WAP as the biggest thing to hit publishing since moveable type. More recently I have been around people who shout about Cloud computing - the idea that you don't have to own all your hardware yourself - you can rent it flexibly from other people who will host it for you.
This evening I will be at a gathering of such enthusiasts CloudCamp. I have been to one of their events before and found it a good use of my time.
Now I just need to find people to work with...
