Concise Self-Talk

Perfect Motivation - It's as if love is the non-resistant way to change or manipulate something in a way that is always happy and better.

Beautiful Unknown - It's almost as if the more you know, the more you realize what you don't know, and when you reach a certain point, the unknown is so infinite and beautiful that it is ( Read more... )

Ah, love. "Any perspective holds as much value as it has depth of appreciation" but I forgot to add: Depth is tragic. Tragedy is the price we pay for value.

Growing up is tough because we hardly get a road map to what's going on inside of us. We get no education on how life creates us, and how we are creating ourselves.

Amidst this self-ignorance, we still judge ourselves. We are too complicated to judge by systems or specifics, and must realize that humbling notion that we are so very innocent in how we feel, think, and act.

What happens in life is greatly beyond our grasp, and sometimes we have to accept this to purify ourselves of guilt.

Everything goes on within us, all of life is reflected in the living. Any suffering is the setting of one part of ourselves against another ( ... )

aaron, you are really very detailed and "into" understanding the self and what's beyond. i feel like some conclusions you have come to must be based on readings, so if could point me in the right direction as far as interesting authors/titles, that would be very much appreciated. As it were, know that what you say resonates with me, as always. I am really very lucky to "know" you in the obscure way that I know you : )

actually these conclusions (about depth, tragedy, innocence, and self) are not really based on readings, though of course I'm influenced by things I read. I take things here and there. Nietzsche influenced my understanding of a new type of higher self, and studying psychology gradually leads me to understand why we feel or think in certain ways. Contemplating on myself and the universe, how I am, and what I am, has helped. I've been writing a lot, too. Writing and challenging one's thoughts on psychology, spirituality, religion, and self helps advance consciousness. For spirituality, I've looked no further than those who understand it. And it's quite easy to see - anyone who's felt or understood for a nanosecond the kind of enlightenment that truly spiritually enlightened people have felt are undeniable ( ... )

Oh, and that last part. Finding one's spirituality? That's the key to eeeeeeeeverything. We must realize how tiny our self is. The self is a carved out area of everythingness, programmed by probabilistic waves of society, thoughts, environment, etc, but what's beyond this programmed, restricted, limited self is that which creates it, our infinite self, our self free from restrictions that just plays along. I'm starting to think our higher selves are attached to us in an infinite number of layers, one self is above us, another is above that self, and so on until (perhaps) one infinite source. Each higher self is more free, more understanding, more enlightened than the self previous, and the more light you can take from your immediate higher self, the more that higher self can take from his/her higher self. haha, that was kind of a tangent, but just an interesting thought I use to progress myself. I imagine myself as the higher self, even if I am not - the idea you create with it acts as a magnet to pull you forward ( ... )
