Happy Christmas to all!
The present I squeaked about when opened: A screwgun, from my Dad.
The present I never expected to get: "The Cocktail Bible," from my parents.
The present I really wanted and actually received: A warm scarf, from Connie.
Well, I'm off to Switzerland this evening. Seven days. Much skiing will be had. Minimal French talking is expected (though maximal French speaking is hoped for). Here's the itinerary:
Going
December 25th/26th
Leave Boston at 9:45 pm.
Arrive in Zurich at 11:10 am.
Leave Zurich at 1:00 pm.
Arrive in Geneva at 1:50 pm.
Returning
December 31st
Leave Geneva at 2:00 pm.
Arrive in Zurich at 2:50 pm.
Leave Zurich at 5:25 pm.
Arrive in Boston at 7:55 pm.
And as soon as I return, I have to grab my luggage ASAP, take a cab back home, and force Connie to pick me up, so we can go downtown and swing dance at the Hynes, watch the fireworks, and then waste the night away partying and champagne-ing.
This year went by so quickly.
