Too many problems for one day!

I know that Sims are games that will mess with my computer. I'm used to crashed because of old hacks, too much CC, corrupted CC, corrupted worlds etc etc - we've all been there, done that and gotten over it.

But today has to take the prize... lots of ranting behind the cut.

The day began with me actually finishing the Prism's new house... all was well. Then I began having a bunch of graphic glitches when I was in camera mode. I jumped from lot to lot trying to see if it was just that house. I decided to finally move the lot down the hill and that seemed to do it.

Then my game began crashing... when I was saving. I tried to fix it about six times and each time I kept losing all that I had played. Finally I found a solution, tried saving and it worked fine. So I played the game, finally (after spending about six hours trying to fix it) and then I prepared to head off to dinner... so I saved... and the game crashed and I lost about an hour of gameplay. When the game crashed I finally saw a little icon in the bottom right: I didn't have enough virtual memory. Great. So I need more RAM, probably. I am going to get a new computer but I have no idea when I get started on all of that.

So I gave up on Sims 3 for a bit and decided to open up Sims 2 instead. But it sent me the error: "Conflict with Emulation Software detected!" Why yes, I do have emulation software but only because my CD-drive broke a few weeks ago and I had to use a CD-simulator to play the game. But I don't know why Sims 2 is suddenly throwing this error at me now... I have used the emulator for a while and nothing has happened. I also haven't installed any more EPs or SPs so... I don't know. Now can't play Sims 2 or Sims 3 and I desperately need a new computer.

rant, sims 2, sims 3
