Yay Movies!
So, I went to the movies today, by myself! I watched, The Uninvited and My Bloody Valentine. I love horror movies but I don't know anyone else that does except for this creepy co-worker of mine (not scary creepy, more, omg where has your penis been?, creepy) so if I want to see one in the theater I really need to go alone. I enjoyed the movies. My Bloody Valentine was especially amusing, but my bitch (and we all knew a bitch was coming) was that there was a woman who brought her 9 year old kid to the movie. That's fine, whatever, go ahead and bring your way under-aged kid to an R movie, I don't care. But what the hell is up with covering her eyes when there is sex but letting her watch the skull splitting, literally, pick-axe? This has long been a gripe of mine as far our society goes. Yes, I know that we are based on puritan beliefs, but why is OMGSEXXXX so much worse than extremely graphic violence? I don't know about you, but I would rather my hypothetical kids see somebody getting busy instead of a pick-axe being slowly pushed through a screaming person's eyeball.
On a good note, I totally got carded to get into that R movie. I'm turing 30 this year. Go Me!
