Rules: Tell me you want to play and I'll pick up to three of your fandoms. Then update your journal and answer the following questions:

1. What got you into this fandom in the first place?
2. Do you think you'll stay in this fandom or eventually move on?
3. Favorite episodes/books/movies, etc.?
4. Do you participate in this fandom (fanfiction, graphics, discussions)?
5. Do you think more people should get into this fandom?

Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon
1. I spent my summers while I was in high school at a college prep program and Sailormoon was a bit of a thing there. I met a really good friend, dejana, through our mutual enjoyment of the series.
2. I've moved on a bit already, but I will always have a soft spot for the series. It was a major part of my teenage years and the major reason I am in web designing today.
3. I still love the manga the most, but Sailormoon Super is my favorite anime season. Sailorsaturn and the other Outers made the series for me.
4. I do fan art and icons and such, but my biggest contribution to the fandom is Black Dove, my Sailorsaturn site. I used to have a Sailorcosmos site, but I never put it back up and the one-page shrine that went up recently covers pretty much everything I had planned to cover (except I have several pages of fanart, but whatever).
5. Sailormoon obviously isn't for everyone, but I think it is fun and I've met some great people because of it.

Harry Potter
1. I was not going to read these books because they were so popular and therefore unworthy of my notice. I ended up reading the fourth one just because and I loved it. I read the other three as quickly as I could get my hands on them (there were only four out at that point). As the books and movies came out, I would wait in line for them.
2. I suppose I've moved on a bit from this as well. I don't feel very driven to read the books much anymore, even though I used to read them two or three times a year. In a way, I compare a lot of books I read to the Harry Potter series, but I feel like I've read it and I want to find new things to read.
3. I love the third book the most, but five has a special place in my heart because of Luna Lovegood. The first movie was awesome for me because I had just started reading the books and it was great seeing it on the screen.
4. I draw fanart occasionally and I have a fanfiction (which I rarely write and rarely read) series that I want to finish one day. I spend way too much time at the HMS_STFU than I probably should, but I love a good HP Wank. Nobody out wanks HP fans. =)
5. Again, it's not for everyone but I thought it was a fun read. The fandom is not always pretty, but it can be a lot of fun too. Avoid people who call Voldemort "Tommy" or believe that they are married to Snape on the astral plane, and you might be OK. Also, BEWARE THE FANFICTION CULTS. There be monsters there.

Sandman
1. I actually got into this series around the same time I got into Sailormoon. I looked it up on the Internet, which was new to me at the time, because Tori Amos mentions it in some lyrics, "If you need me, me and Neil'll be hanging out with the Dream King."
2. This will probably always be my comic series. It's dark, it's funny, it makes historical/mythical/cultural references. I can't get over it.
3. Although Nuala is easily my favorite character, I really like the two Shakespeare stories. They're very clever and touch on important issues about the creation of stories in ways that typical fiction doesn't achieve.
4. The fandom is so limited. The only contribution I make to it, I'm afraid, is my Nuala tribute.
5. If you can get past the first volume, which is really, really dark and icky, the series is a real treat. There are gross moments throughout, but it is really a well written series with mature and interesting themes. I can't recommend it enough.
