So my family and I went on a road trip to the northern part of Arizona in order to watch the August Meteor Shower. We stayed in a hotel for two nights, which was a nice change, and spent the day seeing various natural sites, and then Thursday night we went out into a campground and watched the stars. We saw several meteors, some of which had massive tails, and in general it was very nice. We also went to visit some of Scott's relatives that live up there and that was nice as well. They are pretty chill, which is a nice change of pace from the rest of the family.
Anyway, we got back safe and it was a lot of fun. It was a little sad because the only reason we had the money to do this was because we saved around $200 by not having a party for Araina, but what can you do? It was nice to do something as a family without it turning into a big drama thing. Arizona is kind of pretty. I still think Minnesota is prettier in general, but Arizona has some great sights too. I should post a few pictures later...
