Updates and Musings
I haven't really got a lot to update about, but I see so many other people updating far more frequently that I feel I should say something so that you guys don't forget about me!!
So since the wisdom teeth came out....
I started working again. I couldn't find a job in a related field that was above minimum wage and part time, so I'm working at for my mom's boss right now. It's a wealth management firm so they deal with retirement plans, things like that. Not overly exciting, but they pay me really well to sit at my computer all day. At least that way I can fire off personal emails, be on MSN etc. (Don't worry, I do actually work as well). So I'm working there part time, 3 days a week and going to summer classes 2 days a week. Summer class started last Monday, and the prof seems more than a little boring, but I'm hoping the material makes up for it. Human Neuropsychology. So far so good at least!
I'm also house-sitting right now for one of the women that I work with. She's got this cat that they don't like putting in a kennel, so she has me go and stay at their place. However since I have my own cat who hates being alone (and yet doesn't want your company either), I alternate nights there and at my house. Which takes up a lot of driving time too.
I just feel lately like I have a lot on my plate, and I'm sure in reality, it's nothing like what other people have. But there is something else on my mind...
There's a boy :) Another woman from the office (see working here isn't all that bad!), has a son who broke up with his girlfriend back in December, and she's sort of been pushing for him to meet me ever since. And now that I'm at the office and he's working at the building next to us... well it seemed too good for her to pass up. Long story short, she said that we're unbelievably similar, that we should add each other on Facebook, and just talk and maybe be friends. So he added me, and we've been talking ever since. And she's right - we are very similar. Same taste in music, movies, neither of us enjoy going to clubs/bars/parties. He's very much into cars, working on old ones and fixing them up. Right from the start it was just easy to talk to him.
But Facebook and MSN only work for so long. Then you have to meet in person. Well, since he works next door, parks in the same lot, and he had shown me pictures of his car the night before, I ended up leaving a not on his windshield, sort of taunting him. It served it's purpose, he paid me a visit at work! And since I've had a house all to myself, I've also had him up twice. We just hung out, talked, watched movies. Maybe a bit of cuddling, and some hugs when he leaves. (Ever just hugged a guy that felt so ridiculously good??) Anyways, that's all that has happened so far. So we'll see how that pans out!
HOL stuff.... I'm trying to get caught up, but it's taken a back seat to everything lately. I've spent most of today trying to write my last lesson. With some luck it'll be posted in a couple of hours - I can grade some stuff, and then I'll be almost caught up!
