A Game of Appliances
AHOY!
Okay, so I am sort of on a hiatus. I have exams on but that's not really why. Basically we are skating close to our download limit so I'm cutting down on my usage so that I'm still able to download Merlin each week. This means I am checking my emails and mostly keeping up with Twitter but I am not flisting, at all. So if there's something you want me to see, link me. Anything from like the past week, as well. The announcement is a bit late. :P
In other news, I have finished watching Game of Thrones. LOVE! Jaime/Cersei OTP of course, I knew that would happen. But I like the vast majority of the characters, so that's awesome. And it's such a cool world, all the history and the relationships between the Houses and all that. I LOVE that. In that way it sort of reminds me of Dune, with these prominent noble families and the politics and all that. Anyway I super enjoyed it :D I also bought the first book, and I'm about 100 pages in. I think I prefer the TV show, if only because GRRM's writing style can be oddly stunted and choppy sometimes.
Also, I bought a blu-ray player :D At the moment I only have 3 BDs (The Lion King, X-Men First Class and Downton Abbey S1) but one of the cool things is that it seems better able to deal with slightly damaged avi files for playback. My TV can stream things from my computers and also has a USB input but if the file is even slightly damaged it won't play. The blu-ray player can play stuff that the TV can't though so that's awesome. I still have my DVD player hooked up though so at the moment I'm just enjoying being able to swap between 2 discs without getting up, lol.
Also this is my one NON-SPOILERY (Patricia) comment about Merlin: FUCK YESSSSSSSSS I APPROVE.
