GRARGH.

+ OK so it's totally not even a big deal, right, but it's what it represents. 2 days ago, Liam left for work and left the front door wide open. Physically open. No one noticed for ages because we don't typically go down that end of the house and you can't really see our front door unless you're right in front of it. Apart from the obvious security risk this proposes (luckily we live in a pretty good neighbourhood) that means the heater was on all day trying to warm the house to 19 degrees and there was all this air coming in from outside that was at 12 degrees or below. So anyway the parents gave him a grilling for it that night.

+ Then yesterday, he went to a friend's house and left one of the side doors open! Thankfully Lachie noticed it before we'd put the heater on, and that door isn't visible from the street, but of course then it was like 14 degrees inside at 11am and we're wasting energy again to heat it back up again.

+ TODAY THE BACK DOOR WAS LEFT OPEN TWICE. I MEAN, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK. LIAM WILL BE 17 IN LIKE 2 MONTHS, OKAY? HE IS OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THIS SHIT. I got home before and discovered the back door open for the second time today. Liam, Lachie and their friend Jamie were jumping on the trampoline, back door wiiide open, heater on. Liam maintained that he hadn't been last out the door (and that therefore it wasn't his fault), and I prettymuch told him that I didn't give a flying fuck who was out the door last, he was the eldest present, he was 16 bloody years old and he knew the rules about the door. If he wasn't last out the door, fine, but he should be telling whoever WAS last out the door to close it behind them.

+ *sigh* He did cook bacon for the other boys for lunch though, so that's something.

+ ETA; I JUST FOUND THE FRONT DOOR OPEN. PHYSICALLY AJAR. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAGE!

rl family, grr
