What I would do with an old man with enormous wings.
So when we read Garcia Marquez’s The Very Old Man With Enormous Wings, and discussed it in class I started thinking about what I would do if an old, raggedy old man with wings showed up in my back yard. Now I made this argument in class and I received a lot of criticism for it but I stand by what I said. If an old man with huge wings just appeared in my back yard I would with a moment’s hesitation get that on YouTube and show the world. I know that seems shallow and cruel but my master plan does not end there. After video-taping this old man, I would make some profit out of my discovery. I would set up interviews on all of the important talk shows and all of the major news networks. People would be in awe of this man and they would want to see more. He would be in endorsements and magazines. He would have cameos in movies and he would be an inspiration for a movie. He would be the American dream and everyone would love him. All this money and attention he would be gaining would be put to a good use though don not worry. I would have him donate all of this hard earned money to my college fund and my bank account. With all this money I would build a mansion and a lot of clothes. I guess I would let him use some of his money on himself but I cannot let him have too much. It is not like he deserves it.
