Big/small post. First some dorking:

The extra nice thing about this show is that I really like all the characters, which is rare (the other instance in which this happens for me being Avatar). Well except Danny, she's so annoying D: But I'll let it slide because of the constant heart-attack inducing dramas.
Sorry ok next, some colored sketches from the No Self Control contest... Phanther for Joan Kagami:

I consider these sketches cuz of the length of time it took to make them and the relative effort, which wasn't a super great amount. Another case of that annoying less effort= looks better thing, blahr. In any case, here's a jumpy WIP for the Phanther one, since RN likes tuts XD:
Basically scribble a pose, color a bg and then refine till finished. Notice that I'm working on like one layer the whole time (the bottom is white so I can carve out negative space and the random 3rd layer is to add a detail that I want to be able to remove later if I don't like it, but I merge those asap). I work this way for larger things too, just at a more refined level and with a full colored bg (not just for a figure) to integrate colors across the whole picture.
Last, a bunch of costume concepts for the remaining Pasori tribes. Didn't do one for Val cuz I ran of room, ha. It'll have balls of fur on it though. Argh der don't forget.
I'll try to slap some flats on these at some point, I want to see what they look like :B The Ulyer one is for when he was still living with the tribes, which was a long while ago, like his late teens. That hat is mega silly. I realized that Luca is probably embarassed of traditional Pasori, since he is more acclimated to the Santri lifestyle. But I guess you can't really say no to your own peoples.
