Robert Downey Jr.
This is a man who I considered a spoiled Hollywood loser for many years and that's because he was. He was a young man of immense talent who squandered his time drinking and drugging and getting in over his head. He even managed to do some jail time.
But he finally turned it all around and lived up to his vast potential. He credits his wife, Susan, who apparently told him he had to choose her or the drug lifestyle and he chose her. He chose right and actively campaigned to play Tony Stark in 2007, saying 'I am Tony Stark.' He's been Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes as well.
He also does quite a bit of humanitarian work - giving to charities and raising funds for them as well. One time, he presented (and donated) a young man with a prosthetic arm that looked a lot like an Iron Man arm.
He has recently become a real life Tony Stark, as detailed here at Screenrant(

During Amazon's Re: Mars conference in Las Vegas which Variety covered, Downey delivered a keynote speech where he talked extensively about his career, particularly his experience playing Tony Stark in the MCU, as well as artificial intelligence which fans know is a key part of the character in the films. Toward the end, he announced the launch of a new organization called The Footprint Coalition aiming to use advanced technology for the good of the environment. “Between robotics and nanotechnology, we could clean up the planet significantly, if not totally, in 10 years. God I love experts. They’re like Wikipedia with character defects,” he jokingly said during the talk. Scheduled to officially debut April of 2020, Downey didn't share plan specifics yet but its website is now live where people can sign up to learn more about the movement.
Also, he is my, um, guilty pleasure! He's my free pass guy.
