i started off this post complaining about shit, but no one wants to hear that--least of all, me. so it will be an update, instead. today i took my last exams for work. i don't know how i did, but i think i probably passed. they were a little tricky. i kept almost falling asleep during class. i guess some things never change.
i found out that a kid who used to be in my old choir died. i don't know how. i've been thinking about her all day, wondering what happened. you'd think as a micu nurse, i'd be "immune" to death, but i'm not. especially where the young and tragic are concerned, and she was definitely both.
helped a friend paint some of her new place today. it felt good to be doing something productive. maybe i'll finish getting my own living space into order one of these days.
no sign of the invader mouse lately. i may get an ionic mouse repeller. repeller? repulser? getter-away-er. a friend of a friend said they might actually work. i guess that's enough to go on. now if i could only get rid of the rats who live/fight/squeal in the alley...
