So I had quite the scary incident last night. I posted in brief about it on Facebook, but I will post a bit more about it here.
I had just finished teaching some of my private students (did I mention I am only teaching for the studio one day per week now!??! Another story for another time.) and dropped by the studio to pick up my pay. The bank is less than a block from the studio, and it wasn't late (just about 8:25) so I decided to walk. This was fine, and pleasant. Got to the bank, deposited the moolah, and started walking back to my car which was parked on the road outside the studio. I get to my car and just as I'm unlocking it this lady starts yelling to me from across the street. She was yelling things like "Where can I find a cab? You need to help me find a cab!!"
I just told her I didn't know, and I was sorry. Since she was approaching, I just got into my car. Thank god I had the presence of mind to lock the door immediately, because she sped up and ran over to my car! She started yanking on all of my door handles, hitting my windows, SCREAMING to be let into my car! She tried all the doors, and when she got to the passenger side, I started honking my horn like crazy, and she backed up and was swearing more, but then I drove away.
I drove home and called the police. The dispatch lady said that I did everything right, and she was very glad I was safe. She took my description of the woman, and they sent officers downtown immediately. They were going to send an officer over to speak with me, but they called about 30 minutes later, the lady was arrested. So I told them I didn't need to see an officer.
Scary! I am perfectly fine, just shaken up a fair bit. Had some scary dreams last night, so I haven't slept a whole lot.
How is everyone else? I've been an lj slacker! If I've missed anything huge, please let me know!
I will make a post about my trip to Prince Edward Island soon, and share pictures! also I went to the Toronto Zoo this week and got some great pictures which I will also post soon!
