I can't sleep so I figured, why not just write a blog.

I don't wanna sound all emo and stuff, but sometimes, I just sit and think...

I have closed one of the chapters of my life, and have decided to open a new. There are so many things that can be so confusing and sometimes, the thing that you KNOW in your heart is the right thing to do, can be the hardest but yet the most gratifying. How many times have I cried, smiled, cared, argued, struggled.... I can name off a TON of other things, but the point is, when do you say enough. When do you reach that point where you're like, I can't keep hurting myself to make you happy. I don't want to bend over backwards anymore. I'm tired of it. Well, I've reached that point. and its uplifting. Louisa pointed out to me tonight (like every time I say it), that I need to be sure. And I am sure. Cause I can't keep trying to please someone who wont even please me. I can be civil, but not his friend. Things are not going to go back to the way they used to be. Which makes me sad, but its for the best I think.

I'm one of those people who believes that everything happens for a reason. Good or bad, things happen as a plan. Whatever this plan is, that we won't know. But until then, why not look at the brighter side of things.

2006 is coming to an end. Only 27 days left. Ya, that still is nearly a month, but that month will go by so quickly and before we know it, Its 2007 and so many great things are going to happen. Some we know and some we don't really know. But the key is that even with what we have to look forward to in '07, we shouldn't forget the things we have learned from 2006.

Well, I guess it's never too early to do an '06 recap. lol.

My Memories from 2006:

January:
+ Making someone jealous is funny!
+ Being jealous yourself is not as funny.

February:
+ We'll be Valentines forever. Just like he promised.
+ Church retreats can actually be fun. SEARCH '06
+ Just because your Valentine cannot (physically) be where you are, you can always turn to your girl friends for Valentines Day.

March:
+ Spring Break is what you make of it.
+ BSU dances are FUN!

April:
+ Treasure the simple phone calls in life. They might be your last.

May:
+ I was finally Confirmed in the church.
+ If you're 27 and a 7th year senior, you may very well freak out at a cop and ask him to point a gun at your teacher's head.

June:
+ Sometimes when you leave people for awhile and you come back to them, things aren't always the same. But sometimes they are.
+ Being asked to step into a new position is an honor.
+ Sometimes your friends will be jealous of you, and other times, you'll be jealous of them.

July:
+ Life is precious. Things can happen in a split second, that will change your life forever.
+ Professionalism is important.
+ You need good friends in your life.
+ Its okay to cry. You don't have to be strong all the time.
+ Your "rocks" may be the last people on earth you would ever imagine to be your "rocks"

August:
+ Numbness is not always good. It's a temporary fix.

September:
+ People can surprise you.
+ The ones you thought were your friends, probably aren't.
+ Temporary fixes won't bring people back.
+ Jackass 2 is actually a funny movie if you're intoxicated.

October:
+ Halloween in a college town is more fun if you're 21.
+ Your true friends will always come back.

November:
+ 21 is a good birthday, with a tiring ending.
+ Methamphetamines are stupid!
+ Ethical debates can be interesting.
+ The Westboro Baptist Church is CRAZY!!!
+ He's a selfish asshole!

December:
+ I WILL SURVIVE!
+ "K-Fed Stoppin'"

There is always something to learn. Life is a lesson and we must embrace it. The harder times just make us stronger. The year is coming to a close, and I am really excited for what 2007 has to offer.
