1. How many languages do you speak?
5. English, Danish, Cantonese, Mandarin, and German.
2. What's the nicest thing that anyone has ever said to you or done for you?
Said: my mother once told me to follow my dreams, and she'd be behind me the whole way. I've never forgotten that.
3. If you could be anyone else, living or dead, who would it be?
I would want to be someone who hasn't been born yet. Because her life would be all possiblity and promise, and then I hope she'd meet the right people to nurture her and love her, so she ould grow up to be someone incredible.
4. If you had to give someone one piece of advice to guide them through their entire life, what would you say?
Believe in yourself, and believe that you can do anything you set your heart to, because with determination comes drive, and with drive comes success.
5. With love comes great pain. Do you agree or disagree?
I agree completely. We wouldn't know love until we've experienced pain. The world moves in two extremes, with gray areas in the middle. When we've experienced one end we will more likely appreciate the other.
Wonderful questions,
ledoyenvirginie. I sincerely had a ball answering them. Now if anyone pleases, feel free to ask me another 5, or request that I interrogate you the same way Virginie did to me. :)
Re-construction on the North Sea Museum/Aquarium, which was partly destroyed weeks ago, is coming along very nicely. I recently visited it with a couple of officials, and we're all very pleased that the work is beautifully done. I just hope that it'll measure up to what it was before, which was a magnificent building with beautiful exhibits.
I recieved a letter from the Chilean first lady today, thanking us for the wonderful reception they recieved upon their visit to Denmark. All I can say that I'm glad they had a wonderful time, it was certainly a pleasure having them here. However I feel like I'm being drained of all my energy. I'm not nearly as young as I used to be, and all these activities are taking a toll on me. The minute I got home from Washington I had to rush around for new events, new receptions, new appearances around Denmark, not to mention caring for my family. Sometimes I wonder how princesses like
princess_madde can take it, being born royal. The stress and expectations set upon them is a colossal load. Between school, royal duties, pleasing family, attending galas and various events, they must be tired out of their wits.
But still, I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world. I have a loving family, a wonderful home, and all the opportunities in the world, to help the poverished and to work for UNICEF Denmark. It's everything I've ever wished for and more. Maybe when
ledoyenvirginie gets here I can relax a little, and take some days off and show her around Denmark. I'm looking forward to it already.
