Whoa.
Tried a corset on last night. I normally buy a 2x. I wear a 20 in jeans. Have a waist measurement just above the jeans of 48 inches.
I lace down to 36 inches. As in, we had a 36 inch corset laced with the edges touching.
Holy shit.
I felt two inches taller and infinitely better. I knew it all compressed, but seeing it compressed was a serious WOW moment.
Now, I think that when I buy my own I will buy a 38. There was a lot of pressure coming on my ribs in the 36, and we had to really work to lace it down tight, so it's probably something I'm not quite ready for. I am anticipating rib pressure to some degree, anyway, because I know for a fact my ribs spread when I was pregnant.
But yeah. Highly exciting, in several senses.
