It has happened: after 1 episode of "Bad Guy" with subs and one raw I am insanely loving this drama. This might end in doom and gloom, but there is still hope, I haven't picked up anything that says "definitely everyone will die" yet, it is more likely that Shim Gun Wook will achieve redemption, that "heaven or hell?" phrase at the end of the

I am quickly catching up with "Queen Seon Deok" too, and every time KNG has that look on his face I can't help but swoon.
Oh God. I REALLY need to watch QSD. I really, really need to. I'll watch it after The legend, which it's going to be my next sageuk, I think. BTW, KNG is intense in every project he stars in. No regret was my first project of his I've watched and dude, I can't even (that movie is really gritty though). I finished Portrait of a beauty because of him; I was unimpressed by the movie, but I loved seeing KGN as the good guy. Loved how his gaze went all soft and klajdlaskjd whenever he was with Yoon-bok. GUH!
Re: Bad guy. I don't know who I ship yet. The thing with all the characters, especially the guys, is that they're SO layered and we have yet to uncover all their layers. I feel so bad for all of them (not so much for Jae-in yet but I guess that might change soon when the love rectangle is in full swing); there're several reasons for their actions and aldkjasd God, I just feel bad for them. I know Gun Wook is ruthless, but I honestly can't say I don't feel bad for him. And Tae-seong too, he's acting like a spoiled brat, but... asldkjaldsjad My heart goes to him too. See? I'm still like this several hours after watching the eps, incoherent and all. Mo Ne seems the quintessential good girl; I like her, but I don't think I ship her with Gun-wook (yet? Hmm).
The only "dodgy" moment for me was when Gun Wook's parents died. This felt contrived!!!!!
IKR! And when the dog died? Gah, I kept thinking, "OMG did they kill a dog IRL for this drama?" :/ And another thing although this one is just a pet-peeve of mine: when Gun-wook almost sucks the blood from Mo Ne bruised finger. Whenever I see such a scene, which I've seen in j/k movies/dramas a LOT, my knee-jerk reaction is NOT, "Aww, how cuuuute. SO romantic", but "OMFG WHAT ARE YOU DOING? Ways to get HIV, look them up!" I guess being a teen in the '90s when we were drilled about AIDS and how to prevent it is second-nature to me.

Mo Ne is too young and innocent for Gun Wook. Plus, i think he is the REAL son , so she is his sister - not very good shipping material.
I feel I am going to be very torn here - I am already shipping Tae-seong and Jae In and Gun Wook and JAe In. She is Essential kdrama "cheery, poor, wants to be rich but also is very kind" girl I quite like as a type.
Blood-sucking: gosh, this irks me so much too! But I take it as one of these odd cultural things. No-one would ever do anything like this here, but who knows - they have some quite odd habits here too. :D

Yeah, I think so, too. But that doesn't mean it doesn't puzzle me. I mean, that's soooooooo different from, say, the finger-pricking that's used whenever one's suffering from indigestion or stomach ache in kdramas. The latter makes no sense to me, either, but while I can brush it off as a cultural difference (we do have some peculiar habits here, too, after all), the former makes me recoil and I just can't shrug it off. I mean, it's not like HIV is endemic to non-Asian regions only. ^^
