Spring flowers
Today is the first really warm and beautiful spring day here. It has been a long hard winter for some of you. Some of you celebrate your birthday or the birthdays of your loved ones today. For all of you
I have made some pictures of spring flowers in our neighborhood today whilst I was waiting for Sasha to finish her brass band practice.

I wish I knew all the names! I am quite comfortable with the names of house plants but it seems that I don't know the names of many outdoor varieties. If you know the names of the "nameless" flowers below, please let me know!
A Very Dark Hyacinth. Out of sunshine it looks almost black and makes a startling combination with yellow primroses.
A first bloom on a Camellia.
Cherry blooms.
A fancy Japanese-looking tree.
Flowers in the mud. Literally, these striking blooms were thriving in a puddle of mud.
A gentle bloom on a miniature Magnolia.
Colourful tulips of interesting shape.
White Hyacinths. We have big flowerbeds full of them in our park and the aroma around them is exquisite.
Pretty blue flowers.
This is my favourite flower in this collection. The size of it is really quite tiny but how much coulour and detail in something so small!
Gorgeous (and big!) orange-coloured bells
This is my "The most awesome wall that ever awesomed". It belongs to someone's house on the way to Sasha's school. The brightness of the lavender coloured flowers on the wall is incredibly intense, it just "grabs" you (even from inside of the car you are driving). This is a part of my "happy morning routine". Get up, go school, on the way to school say, "Hello, the Awesome wall". I need to know what these flowers are, I'll plant them on my own wall.
And EEEEE! This is MY VERY OWN cherry tree.
