(I am on holidays until Friday - HURRAY! )
My thoughts keep getting back to 24-episode Korean drama "The Legend". I rarely recommend things because everyone's tastes and opinions are so different. But here I feel I must. I keep thinking that I would love for ASOIF to be made into a TV series like this, with so much attention to every detail, the story and the characters. Yes, it seems to be possible to make a TV series with a complex multi-character story!

I just want to obsess about COSTUMES in this series. Pretty! Unusual! Dresses! Armour ! More armour!
Please come along and see! (in two parts).
Part 1: What do your clothes say about you? Ancient Korean settings
In those days, wearing deep purple usually meant you are an evil person about to plot the assassination of your king.
But if you were wearing white it meant you are a priestess, gentle and pure.
Evil cult ninja-looking guys? Of course, wearing deep purple.
A mask when worn correctly can accentuate your features favourably.
Once upon a time men used to wear expensive dressing gowns and pyjamas to their workplace.
And they managed to look attractive in them, and even ride horses.
There were hats of evil
And hats of good. I quite fancy this one, especially the pin can come useful in fighting.
Every Temple's Oracle had straightening irons and was carrying them around as a proof of their status.
A colour black with a touch of purple? Yes, A VERY VERY EVIL PERSON!
This man is the axe-fighting champion of the country.
You want people to leave you alone? Wear something as ugly as that!!!
The bits of black mean something. But what a gorgeous outfit!
EVIL! EVIL! EVIL!
The King can wear black. Because he looks so good in it.
Wearing fluffy hair extensions is the biggest faux pa of the century
Unless you have cheek bones to match.
Some people can look hot even with a BEARD. But not many.
But a disheveled look makes an attractive man even more attractive.
A nice haircut and pretty clothes can't make you happy
But a bad haircut can damage your career.
AWWWWW! Just because! Notice the small detail - the general's star on his chest.
Part two. I AM IN LOVE WITH ARMOUR.
The armour of "Iron Horse Warriors" (sounds like an Ancient Korean version of hussars.)
The armour of the Awesome Female Lieutenant.
Ho Gae in armour.
Dam Deak in armour and standing by a map.
Dam Deok - The Fighting Armoured King
Some more Dam Deok fighting
Ho Gae in his Most Awesome Armour of Doomed Days.
The Blue Armour of Cheoro
The Blue Armour Again: just so beautiful.
You had to be helped to dress into these things, you see. Awwwwwww!
