I recently bought Moby Dick. I plan to read it in order to increase my vocabulary and fancy-up my writing style. But I've only read the first couple of pages so far. In the meantime, while I build up my commitment to Moby Dick, I've been focused on the words used around me and making sure I understand them. Oftentimes I have to resort to the dictionary. For example, I didn't know the meaning of the word 'bloviate.' Chief Justice Williams used 'bloviate' recently and I had no idea what he meant. And he provided absolutely no context clues, so I looked it up. And now I'm going to use it in a sentence.

After developing a slight interest in the new FOX show Reunion, I was dismayed when, instead of airing the second episode, FOX broadcast George W. Bush bloviating about the federal government's role in disaster relief.
