I went to the grocery store just to buy some coffee. I discovered that I was more willing to splurge on fancy coffee (i.e., not Maxwell House) because I was only buying coffee. And while $11 seemed pricy, anything under $10 seemed reasonable. I decided on some New England Coffee brand in the Eye Opener Blend which is "an award-winning blend of rich Colombian and Central American beans with zesty French Roast." I like the Colombian coffee. I wish I could say that drinking Colombian coffee makes me feel important in the way that a drug dealer feels important, but I don't think that it does. It really is the flavor.
I also enjoy the coffee at Ocean Roasters in Newport; however, I'm reluctant to recommend it to anyone. It has received comments such as "That coffee's bitter" and "That shit will knock your socks off."
