Tony may not like what I'm about to say, but I'm going to say this anyway. One of the BEST of us has had the worst time of it recently, and he really needs our help. I know how well our Furry community can come to the help of someone in need, so I'm asking ALL of you to please read this message and respond...
Whether or not you've ever met TonyRingtail I want you all to know that he is simply the nicest fellow you could ever meet. He would share with you the last of what he has, simply because it's the Good thing to do. I've been a recipient of Tony's generosity, as many people have over the years.
But more than that, he's also a volunteer Firefighter and certified EMT. Some of you may have seen Tony working Furst Aid at a convention, where I've seen him put his ALL toward saving someone's life. The person probably would have been alright, but that isn't the point. There's no "false alarm" when Tony's on a Furst Aid call - he's simply there to give everything he has to keep you alive.
Why do I tell you all this? Because Tony just had a pretty bad week, and if you're reading this now then YOU can help. All of you! This is the time for this Furry community of ours to show the GOOD things that we can pull together and do when we really need to!
You see, Tony just had a car pull in front of his bike several days ago while he was on the road. Luckily his injuries were minor, but his bike is most likely totalled. THEN, the very next day, he drives his work truck to the hospital to get some sore spots x-rayed. He's okay, but his truck suddenly caught fire under the dashboard as he left the hospital.
The most undeserving guy I know for bad fortune has a jerk wreck his bike, then his truck goes up in flames... but he ALSO had about $2000 worth of First Aid/EMT Rescue gear in his truck when it burned. Probably with his Firefighting gear as well. Not to mention some or all of his Work tools, that he uses to make a living at a Cable company.
I recently had dozens upon dozens of our wonderful community send contributions, at Alexander's request, when I broke my wrists in early June. The generosity of our entire Furry Family allowed me to pay the rent for the past couple of months, and that was a tremendous help. I can't say enough how greatly appreciate what everyone did! Thank you all again!
But now... NOW... on September 11th, of all days... I'm asking every one of you reading this to do whatever you can to help a FIREFIGHTER and EMT who not only needs it, but really, really deserves it as well. How can you help? If EVERY ONE of you reading this sends $5, we can replace the lost EMT/First Aid/Firefighting gear that Tony lost when his truck suddenly torched itself. If everyone sends $10 apiece, we can help him pay the bills for the next month - or even make a down payment on a replacement work truck!
There is POWER in our numbers and I have SEEN it in action! This works! Just send a little bit, or a little bit more; as much as you can comfortably afford. If we do this by the hundreds, then we can make a MIRACLE happen and turn Tony's worst week ever into the best shining moment our entire Furry community has seen all year!

If I get flak of any kind for doing this, so be it. At this moment in time we ALL have a chance to drastically change the fate of someone who has helped SO MANY of us in the past!
Just do what you can, that's all I ask. If you can't afford a few bucks right now, then at least pass this message along. Please post this message in mailing lists that you are a part of, but I am not. Send it to Flayrah, repeat it in your own LJ, or just link back to it here. The MORE people who read this message the BETTER, because this selfless and caring member of our Furry Family does NOT deserve what Fate has handed him this week.
We can change that fate! Please. Let's make this happen. Let's show TonyRingtail what sort of Family we Furs can be.
