I want everyone's opinion on something.
PETA2's new campaign: The Liberation Project What are your thoughts? I'd like to hear from the veg*ns and the omnivores.
I realize that speciesism is a really radical and out there idea for most of society, but I believe in it. I more or less believe that a man is a monkey is a dog is a pig is a chicken is a fish, etc. I'm a hypocrite in that I'm not fully vegan and I ruthlessly murder any creature with more than four legs that makes its way into my house, but I'm working on that.
And that's neither here nor there. This campaigns doesn't sit well with me because I feel like it's going to hurt animal rights more than help. It's too much for people to stomach and I think even people that are already on board are going to do a double-take because human rights isn't something to be fucked with.
I applied for a job as the coordinator for this campaign without actually reading what it was about, figuring it was just like any other PETA thing, but now I'm having second thoughts.
