i knew it all had to come crashing down
magic is for those who have nothing else
and though i still feel it,
like a whisper amongst to rain...
...and the cars rushing by,
the whisper is silenced
cut short by ignorance
the magic is slipping away

and though we want grab at it and pull it back
we have no idea where to begin again
