Finally

finals are over
but the music just keeps on coming
piles and piles of it
stacked on top of me like so much dirty laundry
it all needs to be done
but it really doesn't please me much

so, at first i thought my role sucked
but then i saw how other people faired
i'm one of the only ensemble members who has a name
i HAVE a solo

I actually came out comparatively well

I've been lying a lot recently
keeping secrets
being deceitful
right to people's faces and behind their backs

But i feel a lot better about myself than usual.
Even though I'm gaining weight, missing school, barely keeping up in choir.

I've become a complete slug, but as a slug I'm completely happy.
At least for now.
