See Alex waste time in class (because it's not like he can do anything productive for all his other classes. Right? Right.) THIS ENTRY IS REALLY LONG OMG
latenightcuppa gave me 5 things to talk about. If you would like 5 things comment and you shall receive them.
Elvis in a potato chip:
As in...the image of Elvis appearing in a potato chip? I think I would be skeptical of such a thing. It's even more entertaining when it's Jesus and cheetos though. (CHEESUS!!) If you have somehow missed this (like if you're not following the recently re-opened andshitlikethat AND YOU SHOULD BE ) here you go:

natural history:
The greatest category of museums EVAR! I don't think anyone likes Natural History museums like I do! I love dinosaurs and other fossils! I love taxidermy (and I KNOW how weird and creepy that is), but you just have to...know something about the ridiculous old philosophy of "conservation" to understand why these things exist. So, yeah, I know it's a bunch of dead animals in glass cases, and I know the views of nature that brought us dioramas are more than a little twisted, BUT they make me SO HAPPY.

the perks of being a Gryffindor
Oh this is going to take forever! XD Excuse the rambling. Everything about it is a perk!! THERE ARE NO DRAWBACKS AT ALL In terms of HiH, there really isn't anywhere I'd rather be. Most of my sorting was split almost evenly between Gryffindor and Hufflepuff (holy shit that was 2 years ago!). In HiH terms (again), I am pretty certain I would not have been happy there at all. In terms of if Hogwarts was real REAL LIFE, I don't think I'd be too unhappy anywhere. There are qualities of all the houses that I admire, honestly. I'm not sure Slytherins would like me very much. I admire the fuck out of people with ambition (several of my very best friends possess this quality in spades), but I don't think it's a defining quality anyone would see in me. I have it when I really need to have it to something specific. Ravenclaw I can sort of see (even though I got like no Ravenclaw votes) because I am dedicated as fuck to school. I really kill myself over it sometimes. I'm told I am smart and I believe it, but you know what? Hermione puts a lot into schoolwork and she's a Gryffindor. When people voted to put me in Hufflepuff, I hope what they were picking up on is how much effort I put into being a good friend and the fact that I'm really loyal yes, like a dog.
I get really angry at people when they assume I have all this Gryffindor paraphernalia because I want to be in the "house with all the good characters." Okay, that was true when I was 10, but given the fact that HP is still my life and I've spent a lot of time discussing and thinking about the books and the house system, I know why I'd want to be in Gryffindor and I think I would be. I admire bravery immensely and I really aspire to have it. Cheesy, yes, but this is Livejournal and that shit is allowed :P (I'm wearing a Gryffindor shirt RIGHT NOW)
In HiH, I love being a Gryffindor! It's such a fun house. It's a LOUD house and I really like that. My housemates are awesome and I feel like I fit there more than anywhere else. I'm a little too quiet for you guys, I know, but I just need time in the summer to be more active. ALTHOUGH I do feel like I proved my awesomeness and the validity of my sorting with the debut of my "I'm On a Boat" tags for Flourish, y/n?
Apple products
God, I'm actually trapped in another semi-argument about them. You know, I really thought this would stop happening once I made the effort to stop hating Bill Gates for his past sins. :P Apparently not. OKAY. Here is goes:
I love Apple products. I'm not here to argue that they are inherently superior because God himself had a hand in their design and Steve Jobs is the second coming of Christ. Okay? I'm not. I have a few simple reasons why I like being a Mac user and I'll list a few.
A) The same company builds the hardware, the software, and some of the peripherals. This makes support (should you need it) very accessible. I'm not just talking about Apple stores and repairs either, the licensed places like Mac Authority etc have great reps of being extremely helpful when it comes to...anything you need from them. This support network as a whole is excellent.
B) Apple constantly surprises and impresses me with their innovations. You can tell me that a PC can do all of the same things, but up until maybe the last year and a half, I watched all the keynote speeches and read Mac World magazine. I still see real innovation coming out of this company built on the desire to create products that work, last, and people will ENJOY owning, all while turning a profit. (Hire me, Apple. ILU!)
C) I grew up with Macs. And not just in school. The computer we bought in 1996 just now seems to have stopped working ( :( :( ) They are reliable and dependable. Yes, anything can go wrong in something as complex as a computer at any time. There's a risk in ANYTHING you buy that it won't work properly. However, my whole life I've seen the track record of Apple producing reliable products. My iPod mini just turned 4. Sure, there are those unlucky people who have been through 4 iPods in 6 months or something, but I think it's a minority. I carry Aidan (he's my laptop) around with complete confidence that he's not going to fail me and I'll be able to get all my schoolwork done. I love my computers and I couldn't be more satisfied with them.

why dogs are better than any other domestic pet
I will try to keep this short. I really will. Firstly, I must apologize to my guinea pig, Elliot. Elliot, you know I think you are a superb pet and the best guinea pig ever. (He's really great, okay?) As much as I like him, I DO believe that dogs are the best pets. I understand a lot of people don't understand that. Umm, well. Whatever. You guys can have something else then. I love dogs because I think they are excellent companions. Dogs want to spend time with their humans. They're happy just to see you and be with you. That's what a pet is supposed to be, in my opinion. You can have whatever you like, but I will never be anything other than a dog person.
