Though Alexandre had seen Cessy at Draco's party, he hadn't the sobriety or the time, really, to talk to her much. So, since it had seemed like ages that he had spent time with her, he asked to meet her for lunch in London

Cecilia could not possibly understand why Alexandre could be so happy. While Cecilia had been trying to put on a friendly face, this was just downright strange. She pulled off her sunglasses and set them on the table before she took her seat.
"Well, don't you just look so happy to be here," she told him, before eying him curiously. "How are you doing?"
Cecilia, herself, was doing rather poorly. She felt terrible for what happened, and she had a strong feeling she'd be receiving a less-than-friendly visit from Bellatrix soon. Oh, joy.
To be honest, Alexandre had passed out well before any of the "excitement" and hadn't bothered to talk to anyone before his meeting with Cessy. He had no idea what went on the night before.
"I am doing wondefully," he lied, as always. "And yourself?"
Cecilia took a slight breath and titled her head to the side. She hadn't seen very much of Alexandre in the past few weeks, and felt a little guilty for that. She had always worried about him in the past.
She looked at him and shrugged her shoulders.
"I'm alive," she said unenthusiastically. "Which is saying more than Crabbe at the moment, but I suppose you know about that already."
"Well," he began simply, taking a small sip from his tea. "Three days ago I tried to kill myself by overdosing on cocaine. I awoke, much to my surprise, just hours before Draco's party where I preceeded to get as drunk as humanly possible before passing out.. I think in Draco's closet?"
He half hoped she'd consider the first part a joke. He didn't plan on telling her but it just... came out.
Alexandre simply smiled and drank more of his tea. Frankly. he didn't feel like reciting it. She could take what she wanted from what she heard the first time.
Alexandre gave Cecilia a headache, it was certain. She beckoned to the waiter for a tea of her own before settling into her chair.
"Very much so," Cecilia said, her voice quieter than usual. Death was becoming very real to Cecilia. "No one knows who really did it. Many are saying Weasley."
"Oh, I agree," Cecilia said with a wave of her hand.
Anyone with half a brain knew Ron Weasley didn't have it in him to kill anyone. Cecilia wasn't sure she herself could do it, and with well, you know, that might be a problem.
"But the bloody idiot was in the room when Goyle found them. It looked suspicious enough, so people are harping on it."
The waiter returned quickly with her tea. Cecilia let the silence hang as she poured three teaspoons of sugar into the small china cup. She stole a glance at Alexandre and almost smiled.
"Don't worry," she said, letting her fingers curve around the glass. "All of those in mourning are merely doing it for the attention. I think the only ones really upset are Draco and Goyle."
Cecilia nearly thought it an odd conversation. Then she realized who was sitting across from her, and the thought was waved from her mind. Instead, she looked down at her menu.
She was craving grilled chicken.
"It went splendidly 'till then," Cecilia said, quite proudly. "Best party I put together, if I must say."
"I tought Bletchley how to snort cocaine," he said with a small grin.
"Yes, I'll have the sirloin... medium well," he looked up at the waiter who had arrived just in time to hear the bit about Miles and was trying to ignore it and take down the order.
He smiled over at Cessy and waited for her to order.

Hell, there was enough going around about it.
"Alexandre, where in the bloody hell have you been for the past couple of days?" Cecilia asked, barely resisting the urge to roll her eyes.

She wasn't quite else sure what to do. Had he really been serious? She could never tell with Alexandre. He just had this strange thing about him.
She blinked.
"Come again?"

"I mean, it's a shame, but the was kind of a clumsy git," he admitted with a small pang of guilt.
"...You know what I mean," he tried to recover.
"He's just..." and with that he gave up, leaning back in his chair.

Or Crabbe's parents? Oh, yeah, them.
