School is going alright. I'm still sort of adjusting to school in the sense of doing homework. I'm still wishing I was in Colorado, sleeping nine hours a day, reading a lot, and hanging out with my sister. My sister Stacey and I really bonded this summer, and I'm just really glad she has really turned around as a person and become so responsible. She will be a good mother despite financial setbacks. She's due October 3, and I wish I could be there for the birth, but I will hopefully be able to see Kenyon (her baby) soon after that, so I'll live.
1) SUPA Econ: Mr. Stacy is incredibly boring and we go over the same stuff A LOT. I'm glad this class is first though, since Stacy makes the class seem to drag on; this way I can just get it out of the way.
2) Chorale: I'm not really sure why I'm taking this class since I really have no respect or liking for Mrs. Shaver anymore. Basically I didn't want too many free periods, I know people in this class, and I like to sing, so it gives me something to do.
3) Chamber: In short, I don't want to say too much, being as there are enough rumors and such floating around already. I like most of the music, but I'm not sure how capable we are as a choir of doing 8 part a capella and such.
4) Independent Study in Spanish B days/ study hall A days: It's cool to have one-on-one teaching with Mr. Bishop, and it makes Spanish a lot more fun now that I don't have to do projects and I'm actually learning the language.
5) SUPA English: Honestly don't know why people gave this class such a bad rep last year. I love it (along with most other people taking it). I think it sort of is to our advantage that there aren't many people in the top 10, because it really takes away the tension of people crying over their grades. Not to say grades shouldn't be important or that it's wrong to want a high 90 in everything, but I think learning should come before class rank.
6) SUPA English A/ Gym B: I much prefer a days to b, since ihave two extra study halls, double supa english, and only one period of calc. But gym is okay, i don't really do anything besides ocassionally throw a frisbee, I'm very lazy in this class.
7) AP Stats: It's a pretty laid-back class, which I like, and I like a lot of the people in it. Should be easy college credits.
8) Calc Lab B/ lunch A: I hate double calc, because it means i have 3 periods of math in a row (including stats). Lunch isn't really a lunch, I signed up for a volunteer service with mrs. babcock but she doesn't really need me, so she gives me a pass to the library and i go to the lunchroom (but she knows i do it, and doesn't care). But lunch is cool.
9) AP Calc: learnign about limits is rather boring and I take a while to process the information, but once i understand the language that the book asks questions in, it's easy. Should be an interesting class once we get rolling and I get more used to Mrs. Lloyd's grading policies, etc.
