About nine years ago I discovered feminist theory, thanks to my professor of English. I was an anxious philosophy major back then, still having not quite figured out what I wanted to do with my life. In the hindsight, #femtheory came just in the right moment: a few essays by Millet and De Beauvoir later, I knew. What I still had no idea about back then was that in nine years I'd be teaching Introduction to the very Feminist Theory that turned my life around. Well, life sometimes is funnier and more unpredictable than we like to think, and this is what I think about on the eve of my first time teaching this amazing subject. Yay?
